Brisbane Carers' Group

Are you caring, directly or indirectly, for someone with an acquired brain injury? Do you find yourself alone? Do you need to talk to other carers who understand your situation and who can offer you support?

Who we are

The Brisbane Carers' Group is a moderated social group that gives carers the opportunity to:

• Share and express your feelings, thoughts and concerns.
• Listen to others without feeling obligated to participate.
• Make new friends that have been or are going though similar experiences.
• Gather additional knowledge on other services, programs or issues from our guest speaker.
• Enjoy a coffee and cake.

In addition, each month there is a guest speaker talking about a new service that can assist carers, or an issue that directly affects carers.

The group is facilitated by our Community Response Officers. You won’t be expected to pay, make a commitment, join a committee or even tell your story unless you want to.
